Dr. Sarah Talley is a Nashville native, attending Williamson County's Grassland Schools and graduating from Father Ryan High School with Honors in 2002. She then graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville with a degree in Microbiology in 2006. While attending UT, she was one of 50 Rising UT Seniors selected to join the Mortar Board Honor Society, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa “the oldest and most prestigious academic honor society in the US,” was Vice President of the UT Equestrian Team, and was a sister of Phi Mu Fraternity. During her school breaks, Dr. Talley worked as an Eyewear Stylist at Image Optical on and off for 10 years.
After deciding to pursue a career in Optometry, she attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. There, she was inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and received Honors in both Adult Primary Care and Cornea/Contact Lens. She completed Internships at the Ophthalmology practice Campbell, Cunningham, & Taylor in Knoxville as well as highly respected Ducklo EyeCare in Nashville. She was invited to stay on as a Ducklo EyeCare Associate Doctor upon her graduation in 2012, before finally landing back at Image Optical as the full time in-house Optometrist in 2022.
Dr. Talley practices medical-based Optometry, focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. She enjoys working closely with area MD’s and OD’s to co-manage her patients’ various ocular health needs. She also has a passion for fitting contact lenses - including astigmatism, multifocal, and myopia control for kids and teens.
Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her Husband (Zach) and two kids (Grey and Ginger). She is a home design and DIY enthusiast, and always has a new project lined up. She is also a lifelong equestrian, competing in the Hunter/Jumper arena, and enjoys riding her horses when time allows.
